Accessibility initiative

All pages on this website conform to at least Level A of the web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG) version 2 from the W3C web accessibility initative.

  • Flash and unneccesary javascript have been avoided so that screenreaders can understand the pages.

  • Decorative imagery does not have any text version.

  • Each page has a document title.

  • The primary written language of the website has been delcared.

  • Text has main headings and sub headings to make it easier for screenreaders to skip to bits they want.

  • Link text is descriptive and if a link opens in a new tab or windiw, users are aware of this as it is part of the link text.

  • Bypass blocks of content repeated on multiple pages as a 'skip to main content' link is provided on all pages for screenreaders.

  • Cascading style sheets have been used for presentation and layout.
